Can I upgrade my existing Nite watch?

Yes, you can receive up to $130 off any of our full priced watches* when you upgrade your existing Nite watch.  We accept watches in any condition, regardless of whether they are working, discontinued or current models, with or without a strap.  For full terms and conditions together with instructions on how to take advantage of this offer see below.

How accurate are Nite watches?

All of our watches are fitted with Swiss-made Ronda movements with a manufacturer’s accuracy rating of +/- 10-20 seconds a month.

How do I keep my watch clean?

Nite watches can be cleaned by using a soft tooth brush and warm water in the event that they are dirtied by mud or dust.

How do I register a warranty claim?

We will confirm receipt of your watch as soon as it arrives and provide you with a written quotation for any necessary work including an estimated turnaround time. I cannot pull the crown out on my watch to change the date and time

Please check whether you have a screw down crown or a push in crown. MX10 and HAWK models all feature a push in crown and all AQUA, ALPHA, NATO, CHRONO, ICON and VISION models have a screw down crown. On push in crown models, the first time the crown is pulled out may appear to be a little tight but if you are unable to pull the crown out at all you will need to return your watch to us. On screw down crown models, you need to unscrew the crown anticlockwise. If you are unable to do this, the crown may be cross-threaded with the pendant tube and you will need to return the watch to us for repair.

I live outside the USA, can I return my watch to the US Service Center?

Yes, although please be aware that watches returned to our US Service Center from outside the United States of America may be subject to taxes and/or duties levied by the US Customs Office.  It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that all relevant documents are completed correctly and make payment on all charges.

Nite will refuse to accept any charges applied to items returned to us and it is the sole responsibility of the customer to contact the US Customs Office to settle all outstanding charges.

We recommend that watches are listed with a value under $200.

From Canada we recommend using the Canadian postal service rather than USPS.  Please also take care to complete any ‘temporary export’ paperwork that is required correctly or charges may later be levied to yourself.

I need to adjust the size of my bracelet

Bracelets can be adjusted by removing or installing links, or adjusting the clasp. Please follow the links below for instructions.
If you would like your bracelet adjusted to your wrist size before it is dispatched, please include your wrist size in the comments section of the website. We will adjust the bracelet and include spare links with the watch in case it isn’t quite right for your comfort.

If my watch is a 1st Generation model (circular date window), can it still be serviced/repaired?

Due to these models being discontinued in 2005, we can no longer guarantee that we will be able to complete a full repair/service as the parts are no longer available to us. Although we are able to replace the battery, if the watch does not pass the pressure test we cannot guarantee water tightness. If your watch is losing/gaining time and is therefore in need of a new movement, we will be unable to proceed.

In this instance, you may wish to take advantage of our upgrade scheme whereby you can receive a discount off a new model by part-exchanging your old watch. My watch has flooded with water

Your watch may have been used in water while the crown was not fully depressed or screwed down or may have prior damage to the crown gaskets.

My watch is not keeping the correct time

Your watch may have been used in water while the crown was not fully depressed or screwed down, or may have been subjected to thermal shock.

One or more of the GTLS in my watch have stopped working

GTLS can be changed. We can replace both hands and hours markers.
GTLS are made of pressurized glass vials and due to the nature of the technology cannot be warranted against breakage or dimming.

The date window is showing the wrong date on my watch

All Nite watch movements with a date window are pre set for 31 days per month. This will cause the watch to show the incorrect date during months with fewer than 31 days. Follow this link to see a video on how to change the date on your watch.

What generation is my watch?

1st Generation: Circular date window; 2nd Generation: Square date window and ball at end of second hand; 3rd Generation: Square date window and rectangular end to second hand OR no date window.

What is pressure testing?

A pressure test during the service or repair will determine whether your watch is still water resistant to the manufacturer’s specification. This test is always required when a repair or service has taken place and the case has been opened.  It is recommended that servicing, replacing the gaskets and seals and pressure testing should be carried out every two years on watches that are regularly used in water to ensure continued water resistance.

What should I avoid when wearing my watch?

Steamy environments; wearing a watch in a hot, steamy environment can potentially cause the case to expand and contract resulting in condensation inside the watch that may damage vital internal parts.

Magnetic fields; placing your watch near speakers, refrigerators or other items with strong magnetic fields can potentially cause the movement to fail or function incorrectly.

Leaving the crown out or unscrewed when worn in water

Extreme temperatures above 140f or 60c and below -40f or -40c. Extreme changes in temperature can cause the case to expand and contract resulting in condensation to form inside the watch.

Heavy constant vibration or sudden impact; for example with pneumatic drills and machinery or dropping onto hard surfaces

Chemical Products: Avoid contacts with solvents, detergents, perfumes and cosmetic products which can affect the life span of a polymer straps and potentially crown gaskets and seals

Where can I purchase replacement parts?

Replacement straps, pins and MBS bezels can be purchased by visiting our store page.

All other parts such as batteries and movements can be replaced by our authorised technician during a service or repair. Nite do not stock and cannot supply movements or batteries.
