 24/08/2008 - Nite MX10 feature in Japan's 'HIM' Magazine, Aug 08

It's official - we're BIG in Japan!

Not content with continued media coverage in UK mens magazines such as FHM, Maxim and Zoo, we're now going down a storm across the world! Here's a taster of some of the media attention Nite have been attracting in Japan.

15/01/2008 - Nite selected as Official Watch Provider to Walking The Amazon

Nite International is delighted to announce that it has been selected as Official Watch Provider to 'Walking The Amazon' as part of it's 'Anything Is Possible' initiative, supplying it's rugged GX70 watch to Ed Stafford and Luke Collyer for their amazing journey.

Beginning in April, Ed and Luke will be attempting the 4,000 mile journey from the source of the Amazon River in southern Peru to the mouth in Brazil. The expedition will be uninterrupted and is expected to last between 16 and 18 months. Ed and Luke will only carry what fits in their rucksacks. Human habitation is scarce in the vast Amazon basin, so they will have to use sustainable survival practices to live off the jungle. If they complete their journey through one of the most amazing and threatened eco-systems left on Earth they will be the first men ever to walk the Amazon.

The aim is to use the expedition as an educational tool to raise awareness of climate change by collecting and broadcasting the different experiences of the Amazonian people that live and work in the Andean mountains and the Amazon rainforest. This will be done with the latest mobile satellite transmitters that will send back regular video blogs and interviews.

Learn more about this incredible journey and the charities Ed and Luke are supporting by visiting the expedition website:

 09/01/08 - Trout Fisherman January 08 Issue

HARDY have teamed up with British sports watch manufacturer Nite to produce a limited edition watch to commemorate the Marquis name.

Only 500 individually numbered watches will be produced, featuring Swiss movements, a stainless steel case and an elegant leather strap.

The slim design follows the same classic lines of the Marquis reel on the dial of the watch and each one is fitted with 14 GTLS (self powered lamps) to read the dial in low light conditions. Price £200.

Also available from Nite is the TX10 watch at £175. The design features a gunmetal stainless steel case with sapphire glass, GTLS illumination and an olive polymer strap. It is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres and is also available with blue and black straps.

 22/12/07 - Zoo Magazine December 07 Issue

Nite MX50-201

Almost indestructible all-terrian sports watch fashioned from gunmetal and sapphire crystal glass. Has a glow that would light up even Gollum's pad. We dare you to try and break it.

 20/12/07 - T3 Magazine December 07 Issue

Extreme sportsters need extreme timepieces, capable of handling the knocks dished out by their extreme-ly ludicrous pastimes. Like a more macho version of Wonder Womans's bullet-proof bracelets, the MX50-201 is wrought from gunmetal and extra-tough sapphaire crystal. It's also water-resistant down to a depth of 200m, with 16 GTLS lights to illuminate the Stygian undersea gloom.

 16/12/07 - Total Carp December 07 Issue

Step forward the Nite MX50 - with its gunmetal stainless-steel strap, large face and waterproof design, the MX50 is perfect for fishing. What's more, as with all of the new Nite Range, it boasts super-bright Tritium isotopes known as GTLS lamps. Believe me, these are the brightest isotope-type illuminators I have ever seen, especially given that they are so small. I have no trouble whatsoever reading the time at night, as the GTLSs are present on all of the hour marks as well as the minute, hour and second hands. The GTLSs will last, typically, between 10 and 20 years and the MX50 battery also boasts a 10-year lifespan. So, this is a watch made to last, and I love mine. It's also reassuringly heavy and gives you the confidence that it isn't going to let you down.

 15/12/07 - FHM December 07 Issue

When you're doing the heavy work that the British Special Forces deal with day in, day out - clearing out the caves of Tora Bora moonlighting in minicabs round Hereford - you need a watch that isn't going to crack under pressure. Nite watches - specifically the MX10 - are the timepieces trusted by our brave boys of The Reg; powered by Gaseous Tritium Light Source illumination and boasting their own NATO stock number, they can be read in the lowest of lights. All parts are Swiss-made and the pared-down design means they accessorise perfectly with everything from a suit to a balaclava.

22/11/07 - Adventure Travel Magazine November 07 Issue

Boasting a military pedigree, and standard issue to the UK Special Forces, Nite Watches look smart , are rugged enough to cope with whatever outdoor activity you want to throw at them, and are water resistant to 100m. They feature Swiss-made movements and scratch resistant sapphire crystal faces, but most importantly, they glow in the dark. Instead of traditional watches where illuminated paint has to 'charge' up with light, these little glowing dots are self powered and work all the time, some 100 times brighter than paint.

There's a wide variety of styles; we took a look at the TX10 with dark brooding good looks and an all in one non-snagging polymer strap, which is available in four colours. If you spend a lot of time being active in the dark, check out a Nite Watch.

03/10/07 - Boat Fishing Monthly October 07 Issue

It's essential that you have a good, reliable timepiece with you at all times when you're boat fishing at night, especially if the type of fishing you are doing is heavily dependant on the state of tide, when timing can be critical. I've owned many watches over the years, and I have to say that the Nite MX40 outshines all of them (no pun intended). The entire watch is ultra tough and the face is scratch resistant - I've been wearing mine constantly for three months now and I've put it through some serious punishment. I've been elbow deep in soft, silty mud, thrown and bashed about a charter boat in a Force 7 wind. I really haven't taken much care of it at all - apart from wiping the face down every now and then so I can see through the salt build-up, and it still looks like new.

I'm glad to say that the new Nite range has outdone itself. There are loads of different models available, with prices starting at just £160.

 27/08/07 - Stuff.tv Gadget of the Day - Nite MX50

Here's another contender for our hardest watch of the year award. Nite beduts its 2007 MX50 for would-be adrenaline junkies.

Falling into the 'watch that will outlive you' category, Nite's released its latest hard case recuits from sectrect commando training centre and into stores.

Sporting a gunmetal case and matching bracelet it'll take the knocks and keep on ticking. The glass is harder-than-nails sapphire crystal - ready for the odd rock face encounter - and has a triple anti-reflective coating, lest the sun obliterate the clock face on your desert route march.

Course, the most action it's likely to see strapped to our wrists is a dash to the bar at last orders, but, still, it's good to know we could take it BASE jumping.

 20/09/07 - Boys Toys September 07 Issue

With an armour hard exterior and classic military styling the MX10 is issued to UK Special Forces so is perfect for any sporty person wanting to put it through it's paces.

 12/09/07 - Total Flyfisher September 07 Issue

This a very comfortable and extremely stylish timepiece, which is perfect when carring out any activity, and not just fly fishing.

It's extremely robust, and water resistant to 100 metres - just in case. It's available in four different colours - we liked the green one. The inner workings are all Swiss, the cosmetics are bang on and the polymer strap is 'indestructable'. The tritium illumination is the thing that makes it stand out, though; you can tell the time in any light conditions.

 30/08/07 - Maxim August 07 Issue

Worn by Special Forces the world over, this is too cool for the rugged outdoor use it was designed for. We're wearing ours down the Pub!

 15/08/07 - Combat & Survival August 07 Issue

This new model, only announced at the end of May, is aimed primarily at the outdoor sports and military markets. It features really bright tritium inserts for superb dial illumination in all conditions.

If you belong to one of the sneaky-beaky outfits, or want to pretend that you do, the black TX10-001 model is possibly the watch for you, though the green TX10-010 is probably more tactical for most soldiers and Marines. Natually, it blends in better if you are wearing temperate DPM, but even if wearing desert camo or a shirt with plain stone sleeves, it is not at all conspicuous. On the other hand, if regulary wearing RN or RAF non-combat uniform, the subdued blue TX10-008 may be a better choice, if you don't want to stick to black.

01/08/07 - Advanced Carp Fishing August 07 Issue

I was becoming sick and tired of watches that profess to be luminous and yet still you can't see the time.

There is no chance of this happening with the TX10-010. It has an orange isotope above the number 12. This gives me instant reference, even if I look at the watch upside down, because all the others are green!

I simply want a watch that is functional, hard-wearing, comfortable, and reliable. The TX10-010 is all this and more.

 20/07/07 - Smart Life July 07 Issue

Clean and simple it the motto for the GX70 from Nite. The dial is clear of all the furniture that often clutter up the face of watches, making it nice and easy to read, whilst the GTLS lamps are mounted flat to provide maximum dial illumination. Like all of Nite's products, the GX70 is a good watch in a tight spot!

 04/07/07 - Fishing Magic July 07

The time, day or night, is very easy to read, and there are no buttons to press to illuminate the hands and figures at night. The hands and figures are fitted with tiny betalights, or GTLS lamps, that glow in the dark and last between 10 and 20 years. And believe me, there is no squinting needed to read it at night.

Being water-resistant to 100m is obviously a bonus to an angler, and the tough, scratch resistant crystal ('glass' cover over the dial) also helps when it's likely to get knocked about somewhat.

These watches are quality, great looking and with performance to match.

 10/08/07 - Trail Magazine August 07 Issue

This water-resistant watch glows in the dark all night long without having to absorb light from another source. If James Bond wild camped, he'd wear this.

 03/08/2006 - Mountaineer chooses MX10!

On 24th May 2006 Dutch mountaineer Remco Berendsen successfully reached the summit of Cho Oyu in the Himalayas - the world's sixth highest peak at 8,201 metres. In such extreme conditions there was only one possible timepiece to accompany him on the expedition - a Nite MX10-001!

Speaking on his return, Remco says "The weather on the summit day was perfect: a bright sky and no clouds. The Himalayas in the early morning looked like a sea with little islands. The feeling of achievement and satisfaction was overwhelming. My trusted Nite MX10 showed the exact time: 9.47am. Now, back home, when I check the time during work on this proven timepiece, memories come back. It is always time for more adventure!"

 14/07/2006 - Angling Star Magazine (July 06)

Anglers are sure to love this one.
"...what a great watch it is. It's not only functional, well made but also stylish. It's also water resistant to 100 metres so a little bit of water will do no harm. But like many good things it's after dark that one of it's main features really shines. With 15 hand positioned GTLS light sources the MX10 is a must for ultimate night visibility."

13/06/2006 - Boys Toys Magazine Review

"As issued to the UK Special Forces this Nite watch is seriously tough"

"The illumination is provided by 15 hand positioned Gaseous Tritium Light Sources (GTLS) that have a ten year guarantee. In addition, the watch has a solid stainless steel case, sapphire scratch resistant glass, and if you're impressed by this kind of thing (and who are we kidding - we were) the NATO stock number is 6645-99-133-5227.
